This line from Rabbi Yitzchak Adlerstein's article "In Praise of Diversity" in the brand-new Klal Perspectives Journal is a classic:
(If a young talmid chacham today had half the talent of the Netziv, would he think of writing a perush to the She’eltos? Would he have heard of the She’eltos? . . . )
I don't get the first half1 - half the talent? Huh? But the sentiment is quite astute.

So what's the bottom line? Someone could probably make a lot of money an impact if they wrote a frum, multi-volume version of Zinberg, Waxman, Klausner or Kretzel.
